![]() A graphic designer, typographer and photographer from Cumbria, UK, Sarah France has been exposed to innovative design trends and acquired a flamboyant confidence of style and manner. Sarah says, "Graphic Design is an obsession, its trends, disciplines, history and practitioners. Detailed illustration and art direction, a great influential aspect are screen credits, the most invigorating being 'They Live,' 'Hostage,' 'Outlaw' and most recent 'The Number 23.' Fascinated with all things black & white, colour of an egoistical kind, traditional looking objects, images, art books, type and patterns. Old printing methods I find alluring, especially Screen Printing and Silk Screen; being involved in the printing process. Natural transient design; transitions between time captured visually, first introduce to me through works by Andy Goldsworthy." website-the extraordinary tourist

![]() An accomplished traditional oil painter, Pat Quinn put together an effort about two years ago to provide a solution to a problem: Pat felt that a lot of people wanted thier own paintings, but cost and convinence have kept them away. Pat takes care of that problem by offering affordable ready to hang framed oil paintings. Most of the frames and stretcher bars for Pat's canvas are fabricated from wood strips. This allows Pat to not depend on more expensive ready made frames and stretched canvas. The nice thing about this is that Pat can pass the savings on to collectors and create the work any size needed. Pat specializes in Landscapes, Seascapes, and Florals, and Commissions done from photo including Pet Portraits. Pat says, "I do most of my own work without any reference material at all and the rest from two or more reference photos that I combine together." The result is beautiful, custom fine art! website-henning ludvigsen

![]() From Aly Fell: "Most of my stuff is purely character work, but I'm starting to present more complete images that actually try to tell a story. The problem with character based work is I rarely get to do environments, so that's my aim at the moment... more illustrative work! My personal 3D work is an on going learning experience." website-natascha roeoesli
![]() "Born in 1975 in Switzerland as the only daughter of two photographers I was lucky enough to inherit the passion for creativity of my parents and started drawing before I was able to walk. However different interests prevented me from drawing until a few years ago. Ever since then I have been working for all different clients, painting illustrations for trading card games, game box covers, book covers, posters or concept art for games and movies. "I have been working eagerly on my self tought skills for a few years now. My strong sides are character concepts and design. However I am constantly working on improving my skills and branching out in all different aspects of digital painting. "I am currently living in sunny Greece with my boyfriend and fellow artist Henning Ludvigsen and working for Darkfall Online as well as as freelance artist for several gaming companies and private commissioners if I am not writing some tutorials for books or magazines." website-michele webber

![]() Christopher says, "Within the past few years, some of my personal artwork has taken a turn towards a more symbolic, iconic approach. When it comes to spiritual themes, I personally feel strongly about using this kind of iconic imagery. It cannot be trite, but it must communicate something specific. There is definitely a place for ambiguity and different layers of meaning, as well as clear statements (Scripture, lyrics, specific symbols, and so on). The whole process, for me, is very challenging and often intimidating. And so I hope that the final piece challenges, satisfies, and ultimately points the viewer toward the God of the Bible." website-justin gerard

![]() Few contemporary artists portray animals with the empathy of Josh Keyes. At once meticulous and fantastic, poignant and absurd, Keyes' carefully crafted drawings and paintings depict animals isolated dramatically in fragments of their natural environment, overrun with shards of man-made artifice and debris. Seemingly lost and stranded in their dreamlike stage sets, they look like characters in some existential drama written by a modern-day environmentalist Samuel Beckett. - George Melrod, Art Ltd West Coast Art and Design "My intention is to create work that asks questions about the implications of urban sprawl and its impact on the environment. I am interested in creating psychological narratives set in closed systems that express the behavior of and the interaction between humans and animals. The dystopian model creates a dynamic playing field where I can experiment with these ideas and forms. " Though often steeped in satire, Josh's drawings and paintings are also suffused with a sincere admiration of our planet. His altered landscapes reveal both the intricacy of the earth as a system and the complexity of our response to the natural world, while retaining a sense of specificity and intimacy. |
