When we first began the process of brainstorming the book, we thought it would be cool to have the story take place sometime in the past, like decades ago. We considered the 1950s or 1960s even though none of us is a child of the '50s or '60s.

Progress update and changing direction

...we decided to change direction with respect to our main characters. We thought we had a good idea, but as the story developed, we all began to like different people. The bad-asses began to take a back seat to the nerds, geeks and punks. We actually started to pull for the underdogs.
