Prom Dress Made of Gum Wrappers
A High School Junior in Garner, Iowa has come up with uniquely creative attire for her prom. Elizabeth Rasmuson will be attending the event in a dress she has handcrafted from gum wrappers. Reminiscent of Molly Ringwald’s character, Andie Walsh, in the 1986 movie, Pretty In Pink, Elizabeth’s artistic creation is sure to be a one-of-a-kind hit that will spawn copycats worldwide.
Drawing on the idea of making practical things from duct tape, Elizabeth explained that she’s “…always liked the colors of the Five gum.” Having successfully made a jacket of wrappers last year, she decided to do the same for her prom dress.
Elizabeth’ boyfriend, Weaver, will sport a matching vest made from the Five gum wrappers as well.
