A quick look at the characters and plot

Okay, time to expose a little about the story.
Characters – We have 48 characters. Before you start to protest about the quantity, we have more coming. Ha! I know, too many characters are not good, but let me explain. Of the 48 characters, some have no speaking parts, some appear for one or two lines, some are mentioned but never shown. I’m just giving you an overview here.
There are fifteen main characters–eight older teenagers, seven younger teenagers.
There are eleven additional characters in major roles–three adults, eight teenagers.
The story contains other characters, both adult and teen.
The story is a supernatural mystery/adventure with teen romance, nerds and geeks, handsome guys and beautiful girls. Topics include rejection, death and suicide, revenge, acceptance, friendship, true love, and the ultimate choice to sacrifice one’s own life for another.
Hmm…makes me want to read it.
